Work starts as a trigger
Work doesn't always arrive as a neat project plan. Most of the time it starts as a trigger: a message, a goal, a problem, an event. Milestone 4 moved the botseverywhere.ai model to start from work entering the system. Milestone 5 looks at what happens next: why work starts, and how workstreams can spawn when there is no plan.
Org chart vs work chart, in one line each
- Org chart: who knows what. Departments, titles, authority.
- Work chart: what needs doing. Jobs to be done, workflows, goals.
The idea is inspired by Deloitte's article on the work chart vs the org chart and role fusion. It is public research; there is no partnership.
What a workstream is
A workstream is a distinct, parallel grouping of related work within a larger initiative, organized around a shared outcome and a clear owner.
Contingency workstreams
Not every task arrives with a concise plan. A trigger can open a main path and spawn a contingency workstream: its own workflow, running in parallel, that rejoins the main path when it is ready.

Seven levels, lightly
The model has seven levels. This milestone focuses on the first two, and on the idea that level 3 can spawn independent workflows.
| Level | Name | The question it answers |
|---|---|---|
| 0 | Intent / trigger | Why did work start? |
| 1 | Outcome | What result is required? |
| 2 | Work loop | How does work move end to end? |
| 3 | Decisions / handoffs | Where does ownership or judgment change? |
| 4 | Execution | Human, AI, bot or system? |
| 5 | Governance / telemetry | What is measured, allowed and human-gated? |
| 6 | Org consequence | Role fusion and delayering, after workflows change |
What we're holding back
The full BotsEverywhere work chart is what we demo, not what we spill every week. The complete diagram, with the contingency branch, is saved for the live demo at the Grok Bot Alicante Meetup on November 7, 2026. The build-up posts hint at the idea; they don't dump the blueprint.
Where this sits in the series
| Milestone | What it covered |
|---|---|
| 1 | The operating loop: Research, Writing and site publishing |
| 2 | The work chart vs org chart thesis |
| 3 | Design and overview |
| 4 | The structure correction: intake first, not static CEO lanes |
| 5 | Triggers and contingency workstreams |
What's next
The MVP: a no-login seed team with an Org | Work toggle, curated seats and an Add to Grok Bot path. The offer stays the same: team management powered by Grok Bot.
