About

Building Spain's most welcoming tech community.

Alicante Tech Vibes is an independent meetup and the personal project of its founder, Miguel Rovira, connecting entrepreneurs, founders, developers and digital nomads who are choosing the Costa Blanca to build their next thing. Founded in 2026 in Alicante city by Miguel Rovira.

The story

From a WhatsApp group to a movement.

It started in early 2026 with a WhatsApp group our founder, Miguel Rovira, created to connect the brilliant people scattered around Alicante — founders, engineers, designers, nomads, builders — who kept thinking they were the only ones here. Within months there were over a hundred people in it. After enough hallway intros and improvised coffees, the demand for one room and one night was obvious.

Our first edition — Drinks & Startups Demo, March 21, 2026 at Sausalito Premium Club — brought 45 attendees and seven startup demos. Since then we've kept a roughly monthly rhythm: tardeos on the marina, a beach day at Postiguet and a women-only Women in Tech edition. Independent. Free. Run by a founder who'd rather build here than anywhere else.

Principles

What we stand for.

01

Free, always.

No tickets, no tiers. Sponsored by venues and partners — never by attendees.

02

Builders first.

Demos beat decks. Code beats slideware. We optimize for the person making things.

03

Quality over scale.

80 right people in a room beats 800 randoms. We RSVP-cap on purpose.

04

English-friendly.

Demos in English so internationals can follow. Networking in whatever you share.

05

No recruiters.

If you're not building something or hiring for your own team, this isn't your event.

06

Generous defaults.

Everyone makes intros. Everyone pays it forward. New arrivals get the warmest welcome.

The founder

Why I founded Alicante Tech Vibes.

SpaceXAI Ambassador · AlicanteMeetup Super Organizer

Hi, I'm Miguel Rovira, Founder of Alicante Tech Vibes (2026) and SpaceXAI Ambassador in Alicante. I made this project because I believe tech should be for everyone — it's one of the best ways to make friends, explore ideas and find purpose. What matters here is ideas, projects and friendship.

Join the community and come say hi at the next edition — you'll find me in the room, making introductions.
